why pre & post surgical bodycare?
surgery is tough on the nervous system & the physical body. having received gender-affirming surgery, i understand the benefits of receiving gentle, empathetic & calming touch to create support in the healing process. my pre & post surgical bodycare holds space for you to integrate & process while connecting with your new body. i offer nurturing circulatory & compression massage combined with manual lymphatic drainage techniques to encourage fluids to cycle through your system & promote function renewal
i believe that caring for our caregivers is an essential part of the healing process! my gender-affirming surgery package includes a rejuvenating chair massage, this is a time in which your caregiver can relax & feel appreciated
post-op timeline recommendations:
one week post-op for surgery recipient & caregiver session - incisions will not be worked on
four to six weeks post-op for surgery recipient session - incisions will be worked on

during these sessions i will come to your desired location to provide bodycare to you & your caregiver(s). this specialized care is based on your surgery, recovery time & needs
for the surgical recipient: discuss surgery experience, asses scar tissue & range of motion followed by light compression or massage to increase circulation & healing to these areas. a local scar salve is available.
for the caregiver(s): a rejuvenating chair massage specialized for your unique needs
post-op session includes: set-up & intake (15 minutes), hands-on time (75-80 minutes), assessment & breakdown (15 minutes)

why chair massage?
chair massage is a perfect way to show care & appreciation to your employees, team members, customers, friends & loved ones at your next event! this modality is an excellent way to receive bodycare if you are new to massage therapy because it is fully clothed & can be performed most anywhere. i offer specialized 15 - 30 minute sessions for groups at their desired location. my rate for this service is $125/hour with a 2-hour minimum. please contact me to learn more about my chair massage offerings!
